2006 Pension Fund Study released
Milliman, an actuarial and business consulting firm, has completed their sixth annual study of the financial reports of 100 large U.S. corporations that sponsor defined benefit pension plans. As a group, these companies had pension plan assets of more than $1.1 trillion at the end of 2005. The 2006 Milliman study provides insight into the funded status of defined benefit pension plans and the impact of those plans on corporate earnings and financial statements.
